Jörg Leinenbach, CEO

At the company since 2015, Jörg Leinenbach has been responsible for the commercial processes and at the same time manages all value-adding operational processes. In 2023, he was also appointed as CEO and henceforth leads the Group. Before joining IBU-tec, he worked at RAG Saarberg AG in investment management and at Prego Services GmbH as commercial division manager. Mr Leinenbach studied business administration at Saarland University and specialized in tax law as well as trust and auditing. His professional career has already included various management positions in investment management, controlling, investment and accounting.

Ulrich Weitz, CPO

Since 2000, Ulrich Weitz has built the company into its current form and successfully led it to the stock market. As CEO, he was responsible for the entire IBU-tec Group until 2023. He then accompanied the company as Chairman of the Supervisory Board. He has been back on the Executive Board since November 1, 2024 and, as the company's Chief Product Officer (CPO), is focusing on the growth area of battery materials.

Sandrine Cailleteau – Paris – Chairwoman of the Supervisory Board

Sandrine Cailleteau joined the IBU-tec Supervisory Board in 2007. After completing her studies in Paris (Master of Business Administration), the political scientist worked for Sanofi for many years and subsequently held various positions at renowned pharmaceutical companies (including Fournier Pharma Inc. and Hesperion) before moving into investment banking, initially at Michel Dyens & Co. In 2013, Sandrine Cailleteau founded the company SCiH Advisory. From 2018 onward, she served as Managing Director at the investment bank Bryan Garnier; since December 2022, she has been Managing Director, European Healthcare, at the investment bank RBC Capital Markets.

Dr. Jens Thomas Thau – Berlin – Deputy Chairman

Dr. Jens Thomas Thau is a specialist in labor law and has served as a member of the supervisory board (deputy-chairman) since 2012; he also acts as legal counsel to IBU-tec. After completing his studies in Berlin and New York, he worked as a research assistant, bar exam tutor, and attorney at various law firms. Today, he practices law at his own firm.

Isabelle Weitz – Paris

Isabelle Weitz joined the Supervisory Board in 2023. She currently works at General Motors as Communication Manager Europe and previously advised international clients in the financial services, automotive, and technology sectors on communication strategy at the Omnicom PR Group in Paris. After completing her studies in European Politics and International Journalism in London, where she earned a master’s degree, she began her career in the communications department of the fintech company Fractal Labs before moving to the communications agency Fleishman Hillard, where she quickly took on responsibility for various client projects.

Max Narr – Berlin

Max Narr is a co-founder and general partner of the Berlin-based venture capital fund Blue Forest Ventures, which focuses on international deep-tech investments. Previously, he served as managing director and chief investment & strategy officer at the Sanity Group. Most recently, as a strategic advisor, he led the group’s sale to the Canadian company Orgranigram Global Inc. for EUR 250 million and serves on its supervisory board. He began his professional career at the IBU-tec Group, where he held various positions until 2020. Max Narr is a fully qualified lawyer (Humboldt University of Berlin), a graduate of the Global Executive MBA program at INSEAD Business School, and regularly serves as a guest lecturer in the fields of deep tech and innovation.
